What a fun couple, I met John through my full-time gig and I was so pleased to hear that we were going to work together to create real magic outside of REAL work. This sweet couple has known each other for years and have steadily built on their friendship until it blossomed into love. So, we arranged a time and date that would work for everyone, except Mother Nature..
I am an over planner, as in I check the weather far too much leading up to my sessions and I usually spend quite a bit of time getting to know the location before I arrive. That being said, an over planners worst nightmare is when everything is great and then good ole Mother Nature arrives in full GALE force winds and pounding rain. I honestly believe, after some careful thought, that this Beautiful bride is a rain whisperer. Looking back, I remember walking along with my Mr. Mark II (Camera), and Andra turns to me and says “Is that the rain?”. My immediate response is no, because I felt no rain drops and because I was in my own world thinking of what pose I needed next. However, within mere seconds her premonition materialized in full force. Pinecones crashing down, I dodged it all and ran like… well I ran really hard to get to cover. Mr. Mark II (camera) must not get wet. We spent a little time indoors and waited out the rain, and luckily for us, it let up very soon after it began. We didn’t make it to the actual Fort at Fort Morgan but I know we fared better than some of my friends who were without power for days.

Cheers to John & Andra!
